Sales for Startups is an award-winning and fast-growing sales consultancy, working with Founders of Pre-Seed, Seed and Series A companies to help them generate predictable revenue. We specialise in working with B2B tech startups across a range of industries and have helped more than 70 to date.

We were founded in 2017 and believe there’s a huge opportunity to help even more businesses grow. As our number of clients increases, so does our team of consultants (or CROs - Chief Revenue Officers). We’re a small team, with big ambitions, helping the next generation of startups succeed - and we need your help to do it.

Our goal for this role is to grow our engagement levels on social media and ultimately get more people interested in working with Sales for Startups. We believe the right B2B Content Manager can help us achieve this goal.

Reporting to our Founder and CEO, you will play an integral role in growing and optimising our online presence, further securing our position as a trustworthy voice of authority within the startup ecosystem.

You’ll be planning, creating, and executing content designed to educate and inspire our existing and future clients across several channels. As an expert communicator, you’ll be confident managing projects and stakeholders in a number of areas of our business - namely our Sales and Delivery teams, as well as our network of Partners.

  • Learn and stay up to date with our offering and services, ensuring consistency of communications across all our channels.
  • Plan and manage our Social and SEO content calendars, communicating regularly with the Sales and Delivery teams on what content themes you’re focusing on, what channels that content is being distributed on and how they can support the promotion of that content.
  • Take ownership of our Organic and Paid Social channels, such as individual post creation, analysis of performance and the management of ad accounts (as and when necessary). This could range from blog articles, interviews and guides to podcasts, webinar recordings and other video content.
  • Leverage any existing and new partnerships that support the creation and promotion of that content, whether that be planning events (digital for the time being!) or driving referrals through our network.
  • Be responsible for managing our B2B website, including updating pages and uploading content. This would be supported by an external web design agency.
  • Create and manage external design briefs, such as those with our web design agency, video production agency and freelance graphic designers.
  • Support in the creation of assets to ensure a content-assisted sales cycle, working with the Sales and Delivery teams to identify where content can be leveraged to drive conversion. This could be brochures, one-pagers, testimonials and proposals (to name a few examples).
  • Lead CRM planning and execution, namely the management of our contacts database, the creation of outbound email sequences, monthly newsletters and one-off campaigns.

  • You’re a confident communicator, unphased by collaborating with stakeholders internally and externally, such as software partners, VCs, and accelerators.
  • You can demonstrate copywriting and content creation skills with a commercial mindset.
  • You’re self-sufficient and comfortable working independently with a lot of trust and autonomy given.
  • You’ve got excellent project management and organisational skills.
  • You’ve got the willingness and the drive to learn and get stuck into a fast-paced environment.

  • 3+ years in B2B marketing and content creation
  • Proven track record in a B2B marketing function
  • Able to talk through recent campaigns from concept to ROI analysis
  • Able to demonstrate experience in producing and distributing content over social media, whether that be podcasts, audios, videos and articles.
  • Comfortable working with marketing automation tools (such as HubSpot or similar)
  • Confident in using CMS tools to maintain webpages (such as WordPress or similar)
  • BA/BSc or equivalent degree level

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Employee bonus available upon beating company objectives
  • 28 days holiday
  • Contributory pension after probationary period
  • Flexible working
  • Self-improvement budget
  • Work with some of the smartest people in the technology industry
  • Be part of a small team that is one of the fastest-growing consultancies in the UK.
